Mini mukbang

So far, I made a little variety of tiny (Barbie-sized) foods that relate to the K pop demon hunters movie.  I'm hoping I will have some  time to figure out some more food ideas - because they are so much fun.  Maybe some soda pop?  I have a few ideas, but I want to get the general boxes ready first - then I can always add to them.

Prepared Food

I noticed when I got my pills lately, they packed them in such cute little compartments.  Almost look like tiny Barbie-sized tupperware containers, or maybe like a precooked meal you'd buy at a grocery store.

Some boxes are filled with pills, others are empty

From a little grocery store I made for my granddaughter's barbies
  • I saved my pill containers - the used ones and empty ones.  I filled the containers with little bits of the kid's playdough and anything I could find that looked like it could be food.
  • Once filled - I put clear packing tape over the top for a see-through lid.  Then I trimmed off the excess tape.
  • I cut out some price tags and various labels from flyers (like... 'on sale' or 'fresh' ..etc).
  • I printed out some tiny nutrition content labels and bar codes that I found on the internet. (They are going to be too tiny to read anyways - so I just put random labels on a paper and printed - I wasn't fussy about how to scale them down properly and retain the quality.)
  • I glued them on with a glue gun.

  • Some of the containers don't have any pills inside - so the lids are intact.  In those cases, I  just poked a little hole in the top and stuffed cut up elastic bands (they make cute noodles) and covered up the hole with a food label.  (So in other words - they don't have a clear top)

Shrimp Chip Bags

Gamja Kkang 감자깡 (potato chips) and

 Saeukkang (shrimp chips)

From a little grocery store I made for my granddaughter's barbies

  • I searched around the internet and at various store sites, I found some cute little shrimp chip bags and juice containers with demon hunters.  I put them on pages, made pdfs and printed them out at the library.  Again - I didn't use any special program to scale them to mini size.  I just save the picture from the random store, and put the small pics on a page in Word.
  • I arranged them on the page so they'd have a front and a back when folded (so you'd have to do the back side upside down)

  • I cut the chip bags out in pairs (a front and a back) and put clear packing tape over the top.  Then I trimmed them.  This makes them look shiny - like a proper package of chips.

  • I folded the chip bags in half
  • Glued the 2 sides (hot glue gun)
  • Filled the little bag with bits of kleenex
  • Then glued the top shut
  • Did a final trim and cut the tops using jagged scissors

Healer Han Juice Containers

  • The juice containers fold sideways instead of up and down.  (So you'll have the juice boxes side by side and they'll both be right side up).  I just arranged them that way because that's how they fit on my paper.  Each page is 50 cents at the library, so I wanted to fit in as much as I could.
  • I put clear packing tape over the outside, then trimmed them
  • I bought a package of stick pins at the dollar store.  I wanted a round top.  The pins seemed a little long and I didn't want any of the kids to poke themselves, so I clipped the pins down.
  • I glued the bottom of the stickpin to the inside of the juice container and glued a bit of kleenex as well (just so there's not any sharp edges).  I used a hot glue gun.

  • Now I glued the sides of the juice box and closed it
  • I stuffed a few more bits of kleenex inside
  • Then finally I glued the top closed (hot glue gun)

Noodle Containers

Cup Ramyeon 컵라면

I made my own little mini noodle containers and printed them out at the library.  I designed them in powerpoint.  If you don't want to design your own, there are various sites with printouts (like esty) for purchase.  They appear to be very inexpensive.

  • I dabbed hot glue on the inside tips of the containers
  • Once they were glued in a circle, I put a dab of hot glue on a tiny piece of wax paper
  • I placed the noodle container on the dab of glue (This will be the bottom of the noodle container)
  • I filled the container with bits of kleenex
  • Once you reach the top, put a dab of hot glue in and around the edges, then place the lid on top
  • Trim off the hot glue and wax paper from the bottom

  • You can also cut up a few pieces of elastic (for noodles) and have them peeking out of the top of the noodle container

Hot sauce

 Buldak Sauce 불닭 소스

  • I made some hot sauce bottles from my eye drop containers.
  • I put hot glue in the top and inserted a stick pin for the lid
  • I cut off the bottom of the eye drop containers and put them on hot glue - then when they cooled I trimmed them.
  • I printed a teeny label just on my home black and white printer - because its so tiny.
